Gabriel peered out the window of the fleet commuter bus on its way to the docks. Next to him lay all his gear and weaponry, and across from him sat the rest of the OPS team. Ten minutes passed and the group reached its destination. The members unloaded, along with their gear, and separated-going in different directions to their assigned ships. Gabriel walked quickly forward to the Lorelei, boarding it via a long gangway leading inside to the quarterdeck. He was saluted by the officers guarding the door, but could not return the gesture for the obvious reason that he had a load of gear in his hands.
"Carry on, gentlemen."
He continued quickly on down through a series of corridors and hatches to finally reach his quarters, where he immediately set his gear down. Quickly grabbing his duffel bag he unzipped it to make sure he had all of his weapons.
"Desert Eagle, katana, M4, SOCOM .45 with surpressor, HK MP5K. All here."
He grinned slightly at his personal armory, while grabbing the katana and strapping the Desert Eagle and holster to his hip. Placing the bag back on the bed he proceeded to head down to the hangar bay to inspect his suit. It ended up being a mere five minute walk.
"Amazing."
He was clearly still surprised from the repair details taken care of a day earlier. He opened the cockpit, and stepped in, setting his gear to his left and strapping himself into the pilot seat. The mechanical whirring of gears commenced as the cockpit door closed, sealing him inside. Lights immediately cut on as the HALO System began its startup process.
Gabriel glanced at the computer screen, reading the words it broadcast concerning the booting process...
//Begin System Start-Up HALO System version 4.0 Online. Welcome, Commander.
Tapping a few buttons he brought up four independent communication links-one to the Caligo, one to Harrison, one to the Lorelei's bridge, and one to Neo Berlin. The Caligo was first...
Leo was bored beyond rational thought, and had resorted to flipping a coin to pass the time. Suddenly Gabriel's face popped up on the screen. He was smiling. Leo only rolled his eyes.
"Took you long enough. We ready to go?"
"Almost man, I'm ordering the launch of the Schwarzgeist in a moment."
"Ok...I guess I'll go back to flipping my coin then. Leo out."
Gabriel could still sense a bit of frustration in his friend's voice. Continuing on with his bout of communication, he called Harrison to tell him goodbye, and Aimee to tell her to be ready to go soon. The time came to address the troops in Neo Berlin.
"Wehrmacht, you there?"
"Yes, ready and waiting."
"We are in position. Several ships of our fleet have moved just off our East coast in preparation. The remainder of MF is ready to go. You are go for launch."
"Understood. Godspeed..."
The transmission was immediately cut. Gabriel sighed, as he opened a video feed depicting the Stratigen spacecraft.
Stratigen Launch Pad, Neo Berlin Aeronautic Center.
"Sir, all preflight checks have been made. The Stratigen is ready for launch, and the Schwarzgeist is completely operational."
"Good. Commence countdown."
"Countdown commencing at twenty minutes."
The good chunk of time would be used for other preflight checks, as well as thruster tests and final preparation.
Ishima was looking off into the distance when an eerie feeling came over him. Something wasn't right...
Out of nowhere proximity alarms went crazy. Something was on the mag-lev track and sliding down fast...
"SIR! We have incoming! It appears to be a heavily armored mobile suit-its the Durer!!!"
"Shit! Cancel the countdown NOW!"
"I can't sir! The time is already set and locked-the computer won't let me change it!"
"This is Wehrmacht to the protection team, we have an inbound enemy contact on the mag-lev track-a mobile suit. We cannot stop the countdown, so you have nineteen minutes to get that thing off the track."
"Shit, I knew something fishy was going on. Come on Zack, let's get this fucker!"
"Right behind ya!"
The two took off into the air, and leaped onto the track. They gave themselves a wide space away from the Stratigen, and readied themselves to attack the descending suit-the Ausf D Durer.#nosmileys

Zack faced a delimma. His buster rifle, though a mighty gun, had a blast radius too big to fire without damaging the tracks to the maglev, and the only other guns he had were missles, inaccurate, and vulguns. And seriosly vulguns?
"Ishima I dont have any guns I can use here, but you have lancer darts, and a beam rifle, right?" Zack asked.
" Yeah and i think i see what your saying"Ishima relied. "Ok then turn on your phase shift armour to surprize him when he comes. Now we need to shut up so he cant pick up what were saying, Over and out "Zack said while turning off his steath mode and bracing himself for a blow that was sure to come in a matter of minutes.

"ETA to target in twelve seconds."
The pilot inside the Durer sat still and without any movement whatsoever, totally alert and intent on hitting his mark.
"Thermal detection isn't operational due to the Stratigen spacecraft. But my visual sensors indicated that something other than the craft was down here before I was dropped in..."
He carefully sequenced the situation in his mind and thought of a feasible solution.
"I can't really tackle them since they are in stealth mode, so a barrage of firepower is just what I need to wake them up."
The large mech slowed as the mag-lev leveled out horizontally. It was a menacing-looking beast, whose size and girth easily exceeded that of both the Gundams of Ishima and Zack. On its right arm a cannon was mounted, and on its left a heavy vulcan.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are..."
Aiming his arm vulcan, he let a barrage of heavy fire go in the direction of the Stratigen. This action surely would warrant a quick response by Ishima and Zack...

Several miles out in the middle of nowhere floated Sha Gojyo, a scientist who had tried to stay out of combat as long as possible.
"meh... piece of junk..."
I continued to complain as I flipped through the channels, attempting to pick up anything I could on the scouter and radio...

"Ishima please stay where you are" Zack said as he went forward and pulled out his scissors and twirling them in front of him to block some of the oncoming fire. Then he charged forward careful to make it look like he was a clumsy flier. he was secretly making sure no shots hit Ishima by getting hit by them. He reached his target and sliced at the same time Ishima started fireing but he made sure his apponet's attention was on him hoping he wouldn't go near Ishima.

"Haha, got you fucker."
The Durer simply shrugged off the gunfire coming from its opponents. Lifting its cannon arm it aimed directly at Zack, lobbing a shell into the man's suit. The shock sent him sprawling backward and left him stunned, but without much armor damage. The suit then rushed forward, slamming its shoulder into the chest of Ishima's suit. The hit surprised Ishima for the large mech didn't seem like it could move that fast, and needless to say sent the man skidding backward.
"You are both useless."
Suddenly the Durer leaped off the track in the direction of a group of German troops that had just been deployed. He made short work of the modified Mk IIIs, rendering each one useless with a series of powerful kicks and gunshots.
"This is Wehrmacht, we are deploying more men! Ishima and Zack, you must find a way to defeat the mech! The clock is ticking; only thirteen minutes remaining until launch!"

Zack was amazed. The suit was unbelievably fast. Trying his best to keep up, he started to use his wings. Then he had a thought
"Ishima DO NOT let him get any farther." Zack said. He knew he sholdn't , but he needed to damage the track. he flew ahead while Ishima distracked the enemy, and fired his buster rifle to make a cave. his thermel sensors showed him the enemy and afetr toosing aside his buster rifle, and turning on his scissors and a beam saber he charged forward to attack his opponent.

The air inside wthe cockpit had heated up upon re-entry into the Eaths Atmosphere. The short descent towards the earths ground would be quick and slightly painful as I had not fully figured out how to brake this suit yet. The European continent was below me, the ground getting closer and closer as I switched on the Comm link, turning it to Open air.
" work you mother..."
The central northern part of the Continent came into view as I passed over the Meditterenean sea. I quickly passed over it as I continued north, like a descending meteor towards the German area. Something inside told me they wouldnt be very friendly, but they were the closest people in the area I would be landing in, so it would have to do...
" Germans... meh..."
I had never really gotten along with the germans, my mother had been one, and we didnt get along well. This would be interesting. I could see a battle below as I shot over it, the suit finally coming to a crashing halt several miles north of the battlegrounds. The trees split wildly to the sides as the suit slammed into the ground, throwing dust and debris everywhere. The rear verniers kicked on, causing the suit to go back into the air, the ground being used to stop it. The suit turned, and landed, skidding to a final halt as I let out a sigh of relief . . I had made it to earth..

OOC: Clearly I have somewhat neglected to look at this post. But I will fix that mistake right now.
First off, the STUPIDEST thing you could do would be to destroy part of the track. How the hell do you think the rocket will launch now? This needs to be fixed.
Even though the track uses magnetic levitation, it is still connected to two guide rails-otherwise the Stratigen would not be able to stay on the track. Destroying those guide rails is like blowing up part of a railroad track-the second a train hits the blown up part of the track it WILL derail, not matter what happens. The same WILL happen to the Stratigen if it launches with a damaged track-in consequence throwing it off course and causing a huge shit storm of a problem.
Next, I'm not even sure you two fully know the capabilities of the Durer, so I shall list its weapons right here and now:
-right arm selective shell cannon -left arm large vulcan -vertical missile launch tubes in rear skirt -spread focus laser cannon in front -speed and agility as well as immense ramming power (though not a weapon per se, could be considered as such)
Think a little more before you take action, so we can avoid technicalities like this. Fix these problems, and we can move on.

ooc: in case you havent noticed the durer is the one in the left picture in the main forums upper part. there are two pictures the left one shows the einhander and the durer on thr track. although the track is not to scale, its much wider and larger than that.
the durer has more weapons:
the front skirts shoot out laser/bullet thingies in a wave pattern to hit both ground and air targets, (2x)
the feet/shoe thingies launch out large homing missiles (2X)
the chest has a beam spreading partical cannon thingy
the eyes form out these plasma things that can hit you, although they arent too great (3x)
the back lobs out gigantic grenades (about the size of the torso of a gundam) which bounce as well (3X g)
the back skirt armor launches out ultra high velocity drop rod missiles that fly up, then drop down on you in a scattered formation (meant to peirce and destroy things like runways, and buildings, these are drop rods basically) (10x)
there is a big ass missile pod on his left shoulder (24x) medium missiles about the size of a gundams forearm
the chain gun on the left arm is more like the juno gatling gun from the game, its a little slower than the vulcan but much stronger.
the right arm has the selective shell cannon which is his main weapon for large targets (the shock from being hit will knock over a suit easily and probably daze the pilot a little.
the right shoulder is very solid and is meant for tackling things and it does a VERY good job at this
ok, im tired of waiting so im gonna control some mkIII's laying arund that are still alive
IC: the MKIII's pilot woke up from the sound of gunfire. his suit was smashed into the side of a building, and the entire lower section as stripped off. The mobile suits lets were gone. The red lights indicated that it was one emergency power. The reactor had been damaged and was now shut off.
His beam rifle was out of ammo, the e-cap and e-pac ha dbeen busted on the impact, and so the only way to get it to work was to fuel energy from the reactor.
"Damn this, im not going to let you destroy our ship!" The pilot reactivated the reactor and the master alarm sounded. The pilot overrided the security warnings and focues the energy into the beam rifle. It was only working at half power.
"Atleast i can still fight, i still have the ability to fight back! Aaagh!" the pilot fired the beam rifle repeatedly toward the durer. The heavy mobile suit was headed directly away from the durer, so it wasnt too hard to aim. The beam energy rounds missed several times and the durer turned around. The last shot hit the durer's right leg, shaving some of its armor off but not making it down to the frame or rocket motors.
The durer pulled up its gatling gun and fired it for a few seconds, enough to put atleast 80 rounds in the target.
"Aaaagh!" The MKIII was shreded into peices, the pilot didnt have the chance to get out of his suit. a blast of energy shot out to the side as the reactor imploded.
Ishima noticed that the durer was now facing away from him.

OOC:
Are actions, however stupid, allowed to be taken back, these actions affecting major plot changes? If I were to do this, would it count as cheating?
I love to play devils advocate, excuse the insolence.
IC:
"It's DRIVING ME NUTS! My lord, when is my suit going to be done?"
Ain was obviously agitated, not knowing when the alarm would sound, heralding the bloody beginning of a combat.
"Actually, the job is taking less time than we projected. Your suit's being relatively 'cooperative,' so to speak, so we can actually have her ready within the hour."
"Thanks for not locking them out," Ain whispered to Amatu. Time was of the essence.

OOC:
No way. I can't believe it. You people just took back a plot deciding action. I'm not sure who's choice it was to do that, but it's definetly not fair. They made the mistake, and you can't change the past. Now come up with an inventive way to save your precious cargo speeding down a damaged mag-lev track.
Besides, there aren't weapons that can hurt a mobile suit but can't hurt a track. (See above post)
Overall, this little stunt was shot to hell, distracting us all from the main plot. The actual launch and battle in space.
Ishima and Zack, please, this is the last time I'll ask this of you. Use correct grammer, punctuation, and speak how you would speak, not with a bunch of fragmented sentences (I hope). Yooze two could also use some battle practice. But I don't even want to go into all that detail.

I deleted Zack's post about him leaving. Let's just say that he is no longer with us.
Ishima, we need to talk. Nothing bad, but just a way to improve your posting and to get things moving again. My AIM screen name is kurotatsu87, if you have AIM. Otherwise we will just meet in the mIRC chat and discuss something.

"Ishima, this is the radio tower, you have 2 minutes until the Stratigen lifts off. Make sure you get out of its blast range."
"Roger." Ishima says without taking his eyes off of the durer. He aimed his lancer darts at the back of the Durer, who was facing away from him at this time.
The Durer's pilot viewed a screen in the cockpit outlining a BDA report, showing a gouge in its left leg and a scarred right shoulder.
"Fire!" The lancer darts blasted out and hit the Durer straight in the back. Only one penetrated the thick armor.
An alert comes from the Durer's BDA screen; the grenade launching apparatus upon the mech's back is now unusable.
"Ill handle this!" Zack jumps up into the air and ignites his thrusters, boosting himself high straight up
"Why you insolent little wretch... have a bite of this!"
The Durer accurately aims its arm vulcan and fires into the air, nailing Zack with a few rounds then turning its focus to Ishima. Zack closes his Gundam's wings over his body and defends against most of the rounds, but his legs were uncovered and got hit a few times.
"Fuck you!"
Ishima flies straight towards the Durer with its sheild emitting its large beam saber, ready to strike. The mech braces itself as it rushes forward to meet Ishima's attack.
"Block this!"
Ishima swings sideways with its beam saber, it was too big and immoble to have a vertical strike from the ground, so it was rather easy to block. The Durer counters with a hard kick, then a barrage of point blank range cannon shots. The kick misses ishima and he stops before he was hit. The sword slices sidways into the waist of the Durer, making a crack into the armor segments. The sword of the Black Shadow comes out of his sheild, and its a little longer than normal, plus its out of the sheild that is allready sticking out. The cannon shells hit Ishima directly in the torso. The impact knocks the suit back with incredible recoil and throws the Gundam back a several dozen feet.
The Durer, a little stunned, returns with some fire from its front skirts. The laser blasts punch small holes in the Black Shadow Gundam. they were just powerful enough to penetrate the phase shift armor.
"Your forgetting me!" Zack fired his twin buster rifle directly at the Durer, he had penty of time to aim.
"Alert! Alert! Incoming attack!"
The Durer's pilot puts the suit's thrusters on full, sending the mech flying forward at incredible speed-hopefully taking it out of harm's way. Headed straight for Ishima, the mech braces itself for impact, and slams directly into his Gundam.
"Aagh!" Ishima is thrown back further and landed on his back.
"Ishima! Do you read?! Ishima!"
There was no answer.
"Damn you!"
Zack fired his twin buster rifles seperately in single bursts, he still has 4 shots left before he has to reload. All the Durer can do is take the blasts. After the smoke clears there are multiple visible scars on the suit, from where the beams either skimmed or partially penetrated. Ishima regains consciouness and looks through the smoke to see the Durer in front of him.
"Fire!"
Ishima raises his right arm beam rifle and fires repeatedly at the mech. The blasts further mar the Durer's armor, causing its appearance to turn black. The external paint job is completely burned away, revealing only the metallic surface underneath.
White smoke and fumes blow out of the Stratigen's rocket engines. The deep rumbling shows that the shuttle would be launching soon.
Suddenly multiple openings on the Durer's rear skirt are revealed, and out of them launch a barrage of drop rod missiles. Zack was quick to respond.
"Shit, we better get the hell out of here! Ishima do you hear me?! Ishima!?"
Ishima didnt answer. He was concentrating on nothing but destroying the Durer at any cost. Zack flew higher up into the air.
The missiles sail skyward, then upon acquiring their set target location they return to the Earth, engulfing Ishima in their explosions. The Black Shadow Gundam is consequently thrown around a few times. Ishima opened his eyes again to see that his power level was reaching the red zone. He wasnt able to take this much longer.
The Durer's pilot views his status screen as the mech's chest particle cannon charges. "I'll get you yet, you bastard..."
"Ishima!" Zacks words finally went through and Ishima understood the situation. He was lying on his face, so he pushed himself up and ignited his thrusters to maximum, flying a few feet above the ground.
"This is Wehrmacht, we are beginning the final countdown. Stay clear of the launch zone!"
"Zack, I can't take this much longer, my power is low, I'm busting out!"
Ishima flies to the left as fast as he could, hoping that he would be out of the blast zone by the time the shuttle launches.
"Vier, drei, zwei, eins..."
"I got you covered!"
Zack fired his buster rifle's final charged shot at the durer. The Durer speeds forward in an attempt to escape the blast, but inadvertenly finds himself in the wake of the Stratigen as its thrusters cut on full.
The spacecraft accelerates with amazing speed and runs smoothly along the mag-lev without any trouble. The gradual inclination of the track went from an angle of 180 degrees to 90-from horizontal to vertical. And in a matter of minutes the craft clears the mag-lev, and tears into the sky with a loud roar.
The smoke and dust eventually clears, as Ishima regains visual confirmation of the Durer. Standing still, without movement or any sort of deviation whatsoever from the exact spot it was caught in the blast, is the Durer-armored exterior as black as night. Both of its main weapons-its cannon and vulcan arms-are melted shut and unusable. Not to mention a large amount of exterior armor was blown off, revealing parts of the frame and circuitry underneath. Rain begins to fall, and from the steam that comes off of the Durer's remaining armor one can tell that it is still burning hot.
"Toasted..."
Ishima shakes his head. He can hear the sound of battle and explosions in the near distance, but knows that he isn't in that good of a condition to fight right now.
"God I hope this Schwarzgeist idea works."
[glow=red,2,300]NOTE:[/glow] Ishima, I know this is somewhat bending your right and ability to do things, but action needed to be taken to speed up the plot so we could get to the actual space battle. You may change any part of your action in this message however you want, as long as it still matches with the general idea. So please don't get offended or anything like that, this was just necessary to get things going again. #nosmileys

"Excuse me, Ain?"
"Yes... that's me!" Ain drooled staring at the head-tech looking at him. He was a little child waiting for christmas.
"Your suit i---"
"REAADDDDDDY!" Ain interjected, too excited to hold it in any longer. He shoved the poor tech aside, keyed the code for the hangar entry, and pushed off of the closest wall with all his might.
"Dios mio! She's beautiful!"
"Yes, we've added in all the requested specs. You can check them out first hand inside the cockpit yourself. Just execute the security code, then run the start file. I hope you like it. Please send a direct request for anything else. We've pulled all the stops we've thought of as of now. We might was well not stop there."
"Why thank you. Now if you'll excuse me..."
He opened the cockpit hatch, his eyes opening up like a hoot owl's at the new car smell, the fresh seats, revamped cockpit, as well as the far faster computers and high def. screens. Biting his upper lip, he sat down in his throne, and keyed in the opening sequence.
<Amatu Execute Start Sequence>
Words scrolled to fast for him to see, along with geometric specifications for his suit and the programmed physics for future reference, but the main thing of it all. He glanced at his new sub-screen, neatly modular from the rest of the suit.
<*Welcome, Ain Miyamoto! How do you do?*>
It's voice echoed hollowly throughout the suit.
"Good lordy, could I give you a better voice? How about of a woman. How does Halle Berry sound? She's old. Circa 2000 or so. Let's hear it girl."
<*Why, this configuration is oh so trivial, but if it comforts the pilot, it is my duty to do all in my power so that you complete your missions.*>
"Actually, it does make me feel better. So what can you do, huh?"
<*I was hoping you'd ask. As well as being programmed with a complete human emotion index to simulate my being a person, as well as calculate possible pilot courses of action for both you and others. I am also programmed with all of human strategy, ever since Sun Tzu and the Art of War. Part of this capability is to record past actions of both you and others, and store it for later use.*>
"Nice. So you can do all that?"
<*Of course, Ain. I can also do exactly what you command the Gundam to. Go ahead, try it.*>
"Hmm...," Ain pondered the possibilities. "Display all cameras on main and sub-main screens. Also plot a course to New Selene in .001 secon---"
<*Cameras displayed, course plotted on Nav. Computer. Futher commands?*>
"No. You're good. Cut all video feed, clear route to New Selene. I suppose I can figure out your stats later. For now, let's have some battle simulations."
<*Battle Simulation begun...*>
