For effects i can think of two more.A hole in the oxygen tank, and frozen fuel lines (my suit isnt equiped for arctic battles so if we ever fight on arctica or somewhere similar, it might come in handy)

cool idea i never thought of using the weather effects to actually damage the suit
i did have weather effects on other programs, so ill include it in this as well
Freeze- fuel lines or parts in the suit freeze up and slow the suit down and reduce its flight abilities.
Broken Tanks-fuel tanks and oxygen tanks are broken. Including solid and liquid fuel, this will reduce the suits flying and general movement speed.
Damaged Reactor: the Deuterium and Trituim fuel is leakign so all of your abilities are lowered, with a good chance of an explosion.
these updates may not make it in the first version of the program, since i am more worried about making it work

Hmmm.... Forgetting the most important effect, are we?
The element of SURPRISE. I mean, when the pilot is ambushed or an extremely unorthodox tactic is used to outsmart the other pilot. I guess this should mean that the surprised person loses a turn or something.
As for others... I can think of things like battle settings, such as:
Zero-G Gravity well (for use in orbital battles) Decreased gravity.

Altron , he has ambushing up there read it again. Also we could have intensified gravity, and when the suit overheats, unless its minor, it should have a possibility to explode. Ishima and i are fighting to protect a shuttle, so if we are forced to pull back, and we manage to hold off until liftoff, well lets just say burning rocket fuel dosen't feel to good.

ok, you both need to read it again
yes i have ambush, and yes i have both overheating and self destructing, so if hte mod decides that the suit has overheated for too long (or its AP is now zero because of it) then the mod can decide to also do self destruct, you dont need a 2 in 1, when you can just check off both options
about the gravity: if your fighting in space you have to assume that the user knows its space, and the battleground is a constant. therefore fighting on the ground and in space has its differences, but they dont change. when i redo the pilot stats ill have experience points for different environments, that way you dont get screwed over for the same problem. i wont screw the suit since it is space or on earth. later ill make it so the suit can be specifically designed for ceratin areas, and baing outside of that area would lower its abilities (ex: a Hygogg wouldnt work too well in space withs turbines)
ill keep the gravity well though, since if you stay too close to earth youll get pulled in and maybe ill make it so the enviroment changes from space to upper atmoshere
ill add in one for transforming, so if you have multple modes then you can change to different areas. (ex; wings bird mode allows it to fly really high, otherwise he is limited to lower atmosphere, since he cant fly too good as a human figure)
here is one: broken frame if the ms's armor is strong, but something smashes into it, then it can still have its frame broken. like strong people lifting weights can break bones (well...that was a shitty example)

[ Deleted Enoch's double post ]
Anyway, I don't like the name itself of 'broken frame.' Something else such as ... oh I don't know.
Anyway, terrain such as hills and water should also be programmed in there, if they haven't already.
A question is: Is this battle sim accounting for the third dimention? I hear talk of flying higher than usual, but if its on a calculator to being with, I don't quite understand how it can be.
Hm.... If you can, get a copy on your computer soon so we can see it.

i dont care what i call the special effects as long as the users know what i am talking about
no this isnt in 3d its a cheap, 2d game using mostly numbers i might add in pics, but for now the suits are just shapes that sit there, i dont care about graphics until i get all of the bugs worked out in the code
its basicaly a game where you click the button that is named after your weapon and it sees if it hits, and then how much damage it does. its not some game
thats why i called it a rpg simulator thingy
right now im just asusming that the ground (or space) is flat, but ill add in stuff like "running up hill" and shit so maybe later ill keep track of elevation, although you wont see it, it will be displayed as text, saying "your going up hil and its slowing you down"
keep in mind that this program is meant so that you can get the text, copy it, and paste it onto a chat room so all users can see it and then add dialogue in the chat, so there can be speach during the battle.
after editing the text it will be just like any other post in a forum, only with all players interacting much faster, making it a lot better, plus there is no bias on who will win

Forget Everything i trold you about errors. the program is officially done. Version 1.00.00 is complete
i have most of your guys stats up and ready, and if you want to fight now is the time. now you can have battles for fun or for money and have it official, so that way there is no cheating
if you dont know your suits stats ill either post them or get in contact with me (my email right now is screwed) and get the stats if you care ill post them here after you reply. their are weapon stats, and pilot stats too. i dont have pilot stats for anyone yet, so get in touch with me about that. or you can fill out these questions by copying them and replying. if you dont fill out pilot stats then your suit will be as if its unmanned.
Name:
Rank: (rookie, novice, ace, or somewhere in between two of them)
Guns Training: how good you are at guns. just give me any number, in any scale (1-5), (1-10) , etc
Sword Training: same thing with this one
Fighting Training: how good you are at fighting. again its any number
Pilot Training: how good you are at piloting a mobile suit
Awareness: newtype power that lets you know your surroundings (goes into accuracy)
Foresight: see what the enemy will do (goes into blocking)
Prediction: predict what the enemy will do next (goes into evasion)
is he a:
newtype? did he inherite his newtype powers? were they enhanced in any way?
earthnoid?
spacenoid?
genes altered at all? before birth or after? or both?
cloned? from a natural or newtype?
cyborg? if so then what is mechanically improved? vision? strength? speed? newtype powers?
is he a mutant in any way? physically, mentally? by mutant i mean a freak of nature, not the kind that has claws in his hands.
ill give you your stats after you answer these questions. for an example here is a sample:
Dude HP: 100/100 Accuracy: 50 Blocking: 50 Evasion: 50 Stability: 100/100 Newtype Power: 0/0 Awareness: 0 Foresight: 0 Prediction: 0
this guy is an earthnoid natural, so he isnt anything special
this next guy has all options (which is imposible, so dont try)
Dude 2 HP: 380/380 Accuracy: 767 Blocking: 1047 Evasion: 869 Stability: 1/1 Newtype Power: 36/36 Awareness: 558 Foresight: 318 Prediction: 254

ok, i noticed that since this program is somewhat realistic, there isnt oto much room for error, so the person who knows what he is doing kills is the only victor.
i will double all shielding and aromor points when im dont so it takes twice as long to kill someone, that way a rookie can learn.
plus im adding in 3 free blocks and 3 free evades. that way the battle lasts longer than a few turns.
