Uh-huh. I hope he tears your house apart. LOL
But the Ivan thing, it's gotta suck to live down south. I live in the safe area of Maryland - D.C.

Hey, isnt that mofo still a Cat. 5? Man, you're in deep.
I'm livin in VA, so i feel that shit just as much depending on the path of the storm and where exactly it hits on the coast.
Bah man, ya won't die. As long as ya PAY ATTENTION to those official people that tell ya to evac, youll be fine. Dont be like those dumbasses that will stay and attempt to ride it out, when an evac has been ordered for their city/state.
Just use some common sense man.

They'll still evac you, even if you've had much worse. Because a little storm can still kill you. I only feel the heavy thunderstorms. Nothing get's tipped over, no evac, it's just sort of... mild here.
Besides, you should'nt be nervous for your life, but for your home and belongings. All that stuff could get washed away. If you evac, you're almost guarrunteed to live.
The moral of the story childern, is Don't live down south.

i never understood why people dont take action to build there homes better for these hurricanes.
duh, they come every fucking year and all you southerners do is put up plywood on the windows. after you take them off and back on again you end up with holes in your walls. why cant you atleast get a damn shutter or something?
in japan they have storm protection shit like shutters, and they get hit frequently too, so why cant you guys? you see on news everyday you guys live in cheap houses made of crap that will fall apart instantly.
sorry to sound like a stereotypical asshole

well its not like we can go out and by titanium re-inforcement for our houses. I agree that we should get shutters, but in alabama most storms dont make it here so we dont use extra reinforced steel to build our houses. one more thing, plywood is cheap. heavey oak shutters are not. also the reason that we are not as prepared as the japanese is they get hit frequently as you said. that means they need stronger houses we do not get hit frequently so we dont.
