"So anyway, that's what Intel has gathered on the situation on the ground down there."
The Admiral pointed to the Earth through one of the windows. Miharu glanced at his gesture, and turned back to Ain with a stern expresssion.
"Look, we still haven't gotten to your punishment... That's still undecided. Give me a minute or two to give you a good 'sentence,' if you will. Scrubbing the interior of the ship with a toothbrush would not be enough for this. Getting an officer killed and one taken hostage is punishable by court-martial."
"Fine then! Go ahead and court-martial us. Go ahead and fight in the upcoming conflict without us two, I mean, we're not that good, but we have more experience than most of the NA pilots."
"I know, I know..." Miharu's weakness shown through again. But this time she was far from crying. "Get both of your hides to the hangar where your suits are and get them modified. You are to be on half rations until further notice. The mechanics have recieved orders to cater to your needs as much as possible. You two are dismissed."
She briskly turned her shoulder and walked out of the room, the opposite direction that Ain and Shadow were headed. They both knew their punishment was extremely weak, and that more was going to happen to them, due to the lack of it.
In the hangar, there was no gravity, so Ain and Shadow pushed off the wall and went their separate ways to modifiy the suit.

The large vessle was slowly drifting closer and closer to the Destitution. It had not been meant for large scale combat, nor to perform assaults upon vessels of this class and magnitude. The sole purpose, which was to excel in a far superior manner to all suits in close combat, was now rendered pretty worthless unless he would come up with something.
" god damn it. . . . Stupid piece of ---"
A red blinker came onto the main view screen, a hailing from the ship. I pressed the button to see which type of craft it could have been, but that information was unknown to me. I smiled lightly as the voice echoed through my head. The red light turned off as I indented the black call communication button into its panel..
" This is Sha Gojyo, Pilot of the SG-001G Destitution...."
Just those words would tell me what I needed to know. If they were Shinter, they would most likely attempt to capture me, if not, then they would attempt to bring me aboard.. hopefully..

Gabriel pulled the headset off his hears, placing it around his neck. He sighed, clearly a little stressed and frustrated.
"Leo, I know what you went through, and although I may not seem too unhappy I don't like the idea of partnering up with ex-Empire guys. But its the only solution we have. If we just launched a blind attack at them, it would be suicide."
Peeking back inside the OPS tent, he knew that at the moment he wouln't be needed, and decided to take a walk.
"I'll be back in a moment you guys. Radio me if you need me."
Gabriel moved slowly over to the sidewalk. He cross his arms, and glanced at his surroundings as he moved. The skyline at this hour was beautiful, with artificial sunlight setting in the distance. The golden hue of the horizon stirred Gabriel's soul, making him think of memories of times past.
"The moon is beautiful, but so is the earth. Sometimes I wonder why I am still fighting on the side of the Naturals, but my doubts are always subsided when I see a sunset. Unity, peace, and coexistence."
As he passed by a residential area he looked at the grandeur of the houses, and the happiness of the families in side. It made him think of his childhood, of his mother and father, and his siblings.
"I killed one of my brothers, and my other siblings were killed in battle. My mother and father were killed in that terrorist attack on Selene. I will never forget them. I love all of you, even though you are in the next world, and I wish more than anything that you could see me today."

A few flares shot down towards the ground from inside the cloud layer. The full Armor Enhanced Double Zeta flew above the clouds and let off a few flares of different colors again. This was a signal to the orbital fleet and there satellites caught it clear as day.
"Sir, we have confirmation from the double zeta that it has competed its mission of thwarting the bombers and reconing the area. It will now go to directive C."
"Good, everything is going to plan. Send all zaku units to protect the middle of the fleet and place the Slades in the front lines, right behind the main battleships. Keep them out of there cruisers. Instruct the cruisers to retreat to the middle when the fighting begins. They will hide in the midst of the other ships and provide MS and MA support."
"Yes sir."
The orders would be carried out with precision. This fleet had plenty of experience, they had been fighting in Lagrange point 1, but the stalemate had allowed them to be moved here. This was where they were needed.
"And instruct Miharu to brief the autonomous drop forces."
"Yes sir. Right away Sir."
Shadow used his magnetic grappling hook to reach his Blaugeese. There was no gravity in the hangar, and this was the fastest way to move around, even though it sometimes scratched the paint job of his MS. "Ain, you remember what Miharu said last time?"
"About how she knew what it was like on the front lines?"
Shadow opened his cockpit door in the front of the torso and stopped before getting in. "No, about how if we screwed up again her ass would be on the line as well. And the consequences could be fatal. She said something in that regards after alameda. Well guess what Ain?"
Ain answered, "We screwed up..."
Miharu walked into the crowded and barely lit room. The light from cigarettes helped illuminate the place, and the air was filled with smoke, even though smoking in a spaceship wasn't allowed anywhere because of obvious reasons.
"Ok, let’s get down to the details. I don’t have time to spend with you guys and I already know how impatient this team is. Objective A will be to create a protective shield in the back of the fleet. The admiral believes that this will be the first pace to be attacked, so you guys will primarily be a defending team. The group will split into three teams. Team A will be the primary defense against whatever forces they bring."
"Look, just tell us what to do when we get there, that’s how we usually work!" The leader in the back of the room yelled out. Generally the leader would be the man up front, but not with this group. The leader was known for being a pompous asshole, but with great piloting abilities.
"Normally you will be relying on blitzkrieg tactics, but in this case you will be out in the open. Your troops will spare a couple of zakus for MS support, but since we predict they will be using a mobile armor we suggest using some of your biggest MS. They mobile armor would most likely be able to defend itself against MS, since that is our primary force."
"You have any idea what our enemy will be?"
"A mobile armor will be our best guess, like I said. The recon data show no sign of one over Helene or any halo base in the area. But since they were able to spare bombers to attack our Shinter Special forces, it’s safe to assume they still have a formidable force. Either that or they were desperate to keep the Shinter team away from where they were hiding something."
"So whatever we fight is gonna be cool. Great. I figured this defense mission would suck, but I guess not!"
"Ok, Team B will be the drop team. They will head down to the enemy forces trying to reach the upper atmosphere and attack them directly. Make sure you use Ms that can handle the atmosphere on their own. I know you have some."
The Leader smiled "Yo, Rodriguez, it looks like you finally get to use your heavy firepower! HaHaHa"
Rodriguez smiled and turned his attention back to Miharu, who was mad at this point from the interruptions.
"Team C will be the MS assault team, since we know there main force will be MS."
"How do you know that?" The leader questioned. He didn’t want to know the answer, but just wanted to make sure of something.
Miharu couldn’t tell anyone in the Shinter or this fleet that she has helped the Nocturne alliance with a shipment of zeta plus's from Anaheim. That would be considered treason and she would be killed on the spot. Her involvement with Ezekiel had already made her unable to get out of her general quarters without permission. "Their commander is still alive, and if I were you I would finish your little rivalry with him once and for all. Your suit given to you by the Selenians was designed to defeat a Nazarene based off of the data from collected from the Angel Gundam, so you should have an advantage. If you fail again then you can forget your team’s reputation."
That was all the Leader needed. The commander of the enemy forces was his rival for years now, but they never got to fight one on one. This would be his chance, he wouldn’t screw it up, and so he listened to the rest of the briefing for a change.

Leo was still spitting mad after he left medlab and made his way back toward the hanger where Caligo was stored and waiting for use. His left hand was well bandaged, so much so that he could barely move it. Well he didn't need it anyways, not for this battle. When he returned to the hanger the blood had been cleaned off the Gundam though the dent remained.
The mechanic had long since left for fear that Leo might return and start yelling at him again. His helmet was exactily where he left it, it was on the catwalk next to the Caligo where he'd dropped it when he found out who was helping them. He stooped to pick it up and sighed softly, they needed the help in the battle and the Germans were the ones who would give it.
His other hand tightened slightly on his helmet then relaxed. He needed to calm down and lose the anger if he was to take part in this battle or even control his Gundam. After several deep breaths he climbed into the cockpit and sat in the pilot seat with the helmet in his lap. The hatch closed and the main screens lit up as the Caligo's secondary systems came online.
"Maybe I really am the only one who still holds a grudge......I can't forgive them for what they did. But can I really hold a grudge now? After what Selene did to me? The first time during the Einhander mission was understandable....but now......deeming me a tratior? Can I still hate the Empire without thinking of myself as a Selenian?" Leo sighed and let his head fall foward for a few moments. He couldn't, he couldn't hold the grudge and not be a Selenian.
His right hand began taping buttons and flipping switches as he went through a systems check to make sure his machine was in perfect working order. "I can't hate them now and they are our allies, but that doesn't mean I have to like it."

OOC:
im sorry for posting out of character, but there are so many things that are Fucked up with Sha's post that i had to say this here and now.
1. whats up with the angel frame? it was allready recovered and rebuilt, only not on the other end of the moon, thats where the fucking anaheim test facility is. i know it was a vision or dream or something, but the facts are all wrong. plus it wasnt the original angel frame, since that self destructed. the second angel gabe used got burned up in the atmosphere during the seven cities incident and was fixed up in an NA base, i think it was alameda. Then it became the Archangel.
2. ok, let me get this straight. you just flew straight into the biggest enemy fleet out there without being found or seen when they are on FULL ALERT! they are looking out for an attack that can come any minute, and you, with a big as hell mobile suit fly in like you were one of them. Your suit isn't exactly normal, there are only 3 other suits like yours in the area that the shinter forces would know of.
the Full armored Double Zeta is down on earth, and they are waiting for it to come back, so if they see you it will make them wonder why the fuck it was coming from the opposite direction.
the FAZZ is part of the rear fleet, and its being deployed right now in the rear, so if they saw you and mistook it for that, they would wonder why it is in teh wrong place, further arising supision.
the prototype machine closely resembles the double zeta since it is based off of the EX-S, and they are also waiting and looking for that to return.
plus you said earlier that a small ship came towards you, whatever happened to that? if an unknown ship came up to a fleet, then they will most likely under normal logic try to contact it, if that fails, they will open fire. Thats SOP.
if they did know who you were and what ms it was, that will give more of a reason to kill you, so they will start shooting.
you think you can hide from a fleet (with glowing eyes and lights) because they cant ping you? what is this, WWII submarine warfare?
there are plenty of other ways, like thermal. you have a big reactor, so they will most likely see that. you have to have used rockets to steer at some point since you cant fly through a fleet without hitting anything, so they will detect that.
they can definitely detect the minovsky particle interference coming from a large reactor, so they will see you there.
plus yoru a newtype, other newtypes (and we have atleast 2 players that i can think of at the moment) will know you are just waltzing in as well.
those are the arguments that i cant think of off hand. now, tell me your side of the story, how did you waltz in?

oh wait, i found another thing to bitch at after reading your post again
you cant hear in space. there is no medium for which sound is to travel. sound is just wave distorsions of the medium in which you are in.
basic point is you cant here in space unless you blasted your engines onto the side of a ship and the people inside heard the vibrations, and no one does that anyway since that would be rediculous.
gabe, por other moderators, dont delete this post until i heard back from Sha about these points

[ooc] 1. The area that I am floating through is the area that the original ship I was in was destroyed. This can be read in my other piece, which is where I started. When I reached this point, there was one ship here, so I disengaged all thrust and attempted to blend in with the debris in a shot to hide from radar. From this point, I took a nap, which is where the dream came in.
The original location of the assembly plant was never given to me, im a scientist and enginner, its not my job to know where exactly I am. If I was allowed to know that, then I would have escaped much earlier.
2. The ping system is a system that is used to detect small floating objects in space. If you do now know of it, allow me to explain. The ISS has a satelite that emits a small level radio wave. This wave has an extremely long wavelength that can be broken easily. They constantly send it from point A. to point B. If it doesnt reach point B, then they know something is in the way and on its way towards their location.
3. Ping doesnt just mean sound, it means anything. A ping is any possibly hostile object that can appear on any form of radar. I didnt fly through them, im just sorta floating through a debris field behind them.
4. The thermal thing, the only thing that could really be picked up by thermal would be the cockpit, since I turned the heater on two posts prior to waking up. I cant sleep in the cold..
5. Vibrations into ships.. I should so do that now... just to see what would happen... [end ooc]
(ENOCH) ooc: im replying here os i dont make any more posts in ooc, since this place is for ic. ok, you said on earlier posts that you were headed to earth, right, and now you said that there was a fleet in front of you that you were flying through.
and it doesnt matter how you explain that damn ping. you said that if an object goes through it they will know, well, your a pretty damn big object.
and although you may have your reactor shut off (you failed to mention this) this thing is a big peice of metal, and you were flying recently, so compared to the nonexistent heat of space your still pretty damn hot.
and another thing, how the hell do you fly by without anyone looking out the window and seeing you just a few dozen yards from there ship?
and if this was the place you destroyed earlier, that was several years ago, and why would any of the functional ships be still there? dont tell me they are looking in the rubble for a ship that flew away unharmed. that would be like trying to find the bank robber hiding in the bank that he robbed. it doesnt happen.
you arent in the fleet, your outside of it? stop changing your story. this is what you said:
'There was an entire fleet in front of me, and my suit was just floating through them.'
ok, lets go to that dream. you never knew where the plkant was since no one told you, ok, so you just "imagined" that it was on the moon against the common judgment that the NA is an earth group. they never told you so you made a place up in your mind with vivid details.
your a scientist, if they had youy on the team making the thing you would be a loyal NA soldier/scientist and you would know exactly where you are: in an NA base, duh.
no, DUH, doesnt cut it. if you were an NA scientist, then how in the fucking hell did you get a shinter suit? how the hell did you go in the past and time warp?
look, this is not making any chronological sence.
1. sha escapes from the clutches of shinter with a new MS 2. the angel gundam is refit anf fixed to be the angel gundam, with sha as a scientist 3. alameda was destroyed, and the NA personel went to helene 4. sha is now in space again, somehow avoiding all of the fighting and the damn nukes and the damn piping hot bullshit that was dropped through the atmosphere and the enemy fleets making sure nothing got into space
details dont match up man

"Man... I totally forgot about that." Ain spoke to himself quietly, remembering what Miharu had warned him about.
"I guess there's nothing I can do now. Lemme start quickly adding stuff to my suit. Hey, mechanic guy!" Ain motioned to a passing man who was scribbing viciously on a notepad. He paused and looked at me incredulously.
"Pardon, sir?"
"Yeah, you heard me. With all due respect, could you please add in a bio-computer I think it is. It helps out your calculation ability for newtypes in battle..."
"Yes. I know what you're talking about. Anything else? I'll just relay this to my superior." The mechanic added the part to his little list.
"Erm... I think so. Add in anything that'll boost my generator output. Also add in a minovsky drive thruster, and 10 more apogee thrusters. Weight reduction may be needed in order to increase my acceleration. You can sacrifice my armor for the new additions. And really... you're a techy, you know to keep my baby from over heating. Add some fans or extra exhaust outlets or something."
"I'll do my best sir." He scribbled madly the list of things Ain had rattled off.
"No... you'll do it in a day. Deduct whatever from my paycheck. If you need more, charge the Shinter, and I'll pay it back. TELL ME before you spend it though. Same time tommorow, right?"
"Of course. I'll be on my way."
And so Santa went on his merry way, shouting at many people informing them of the new workload added to their already underpaid-overworked quota. Everyone knew what needed to be done, and set off to the task after wrapping up their previous assignment.

"Of course, yes sir." The admiral said through the comlink. The video feed displayed "Sound Only" in the upper left corner. The other end was quite some distance away. "All mobile suits are accounted for Except for Captain Ezekiel's. The machines are in position. The Herz is ready and waiting. Everything is going as planned. When can we expect the drop operation to begin?"
"Once the rats fall into the trap. Release the group to the designated area. We dont have long to wait." The extremely low voice could only have been reproduced by a computer, so recognizing who was on the other end was impossible.
"But what do we do with Captain Ezekiel?"
"Leave those matters to me. Your purpose is to stop the Enemy forces from exiting the atmosphere. Even if it costs you your life. Do not fail us."
"Understood. Admiral Gneuskaia out." He shut off the line and sighed. The admiral had been in the military since before the shinter was created, he was the most decorated and Respected Soldier in all of the Space Navy. Now he was reduced to a pawn from a dictator that took control when he was away. He picked up his glass of whiskey and poured it down.
The computer operator went over to the head mechanic and showed him the papers.
"He wants all of this by tomorrow? Thats crazy! we cant install it, we are allreayd behind schedule with Drakes, black wing whatever. Most of our crew is in teh other hangar fixing the Zakus and slades. The admiral wants them out now."
"So what do we do?"
"You get to bringin the parts here. It's been a while since we installed a biocomp and a drive, this is gonna be fun."
"Your gonna be working on it?"
"Yeah, and your gonna help me, so get going!"
"Yes sir!" The operator used his maghook and left in the direction of the cargo door to the main storage area.
"Ok, Ill get to detaching the armor and rocket systems..." The head mechanic stood up and jumped towards the control box to operate the remote systems.
Shadow looked around in his cockpit. It was filled with empty soda cans and potato chip bags. He had to clean it out, and this was the only time he would get. But if he did, then it woudl be that much cleaner fro his replacement. If he was thrown over to some other crap job, then he would lose this suit as well. He was used to this junk in here, so he decided to keep it the way it was.
Drake got up from his bed. He was been in the infirmory for a while, he had been badly burned, crushed, and blasted with shrapnel at the same time. But now he was okay. He was geneticlaly altered and was faster at healing than others. But he had little, if any newtype powers, so he was not much better than any other spacenoid. The hallway looked bigger when he was looking up from the stretcher, it was small now that he had to walk through it. He had his things bad now, and was headed to his Gundam. From the looks of it, most soldiers were allready out, so the battle would start soon, he couldnt let himself skip this one.

Post by Gabriel Fox on Sept 25, 2004 22:02:44 GMT -5
Gabriel was walking back to the OPS station when he received a radio transmission from the Lorelei.
"Go ahead, who is this?"
"Ishima here, with Zack and the other new MF members. I was wondering, are we going to be going up in space with you guys?"
Gabriel thought for a moment, then made his decision.
"No, I need you all to get over to Neo Germany. You are in charge of making sure the Schwarzgeist launches without disruption. The launch station is in Neo Berlin, you can't miss the place. It is a huge horizontal-vertical mag-lev track. Consider this your first true mission as a member of MF."
"Yes sir! Ishima, out!"
By the sound of the man's voice, Gabriel could tell the man was excited-he was only in NA for a few days, and has already been given a leadership opportunity. Gabriel smirked at this fact, as he continued his trip back to the OPS center. When he reached the tent he was greeted by the OPS officer, who had a much needed update for him concerning the Schwarzgeist.
"Sir, the Germans report that the Stratigen is ready to launch, and that they are waiting for the command from us."
"Good. How long would it take a fast-moving transport to get to the launch site?"
The man thought for a moment.
"Depends on how fast. If the cargo is small and the craft is sleek and with enough thrust power, then I'd say about an hour."
"What craft do we have here capable to get there in that time or less?"
"Well Harrison was telling me about a new Einhander that HALO was just beginning to make; something called a 'Switchblade'. He said it was able to go nearly anywhere in the world in record time, not to mention carry a couple mobile suits in the process."
Gabriel nodded, walking over to the nearest unoccupied computer terminal. From there he accessed the HALO mainframe, and searched for the Switchblade. The results included a set of detailed schematics, as well as complete statistical data chart. He was amazed by his findings.
"Holy God, this thing is a monster...the amount of thrust this mother can pump out is insane. Its got four HUGE Minovsky drive thrusters in a linked system plus two vernian drive thrusters. It doesn't even look that much like an Einhander, so I don't know why they would classify it as such. It was built for space combat, but if it were used close to the ground it would take no time to cross an ocean."
Gabriel closed the program out and stood to his feet.
"Get me two of them, and make sure Ishima and the other new recruits plus all of their suits are loaded. I will need a notification of when they reach Neo Germany. In the meantime, patch me through to the allies in Berlin."
Gabriel knew that in order for his plan to work, he would need the Germans to delay the launch for a while. He would at least set it up so that the Stratigen space craft would be launched the moment the men reached the launch site...

OOC: In order to speed up progression of this plot line, and get the battle started, we will skip forward approximately an hour and a half or so later.
IC: Time 1900 hours. OPS Center in the Stone Foothills, Section A grinder.
Ninety minutes of waiting had proven to be tedious and annoying. Though the group at the OPS tent had packed up their gear and sent it on to the fleet docks in this amount of time, the fact still remained that they were waiting on a message from Ishima. And just as they began to lose hope, a voice called to Gabriel from the other end of the radio channel.
"Commander Fox? It's Ishima Otogato. We've arrived at the target point. You were right, this god damn track is GIGANTIC..."
Neo Berlin Aeronautic Center, Neo Germany.
The two Switchblade fighters slowed to a stop a mere fifty feet above ground, and jettisoned their cargo-a small force of mobile suits.
"Damn that was fast..." said Ishima over his intercom.
Almost as if on cue the Einhander hovered adjacent to the group and landed. The pilots exited the craft and walked along the barren ground in the direction of a small building in the distance.
"Mr. Otogato? This is the control center. Welcome to Neo Berlin. We ask that you create a perimeter around the launch pad just outside the blast zone along with a significant group of our men. You will be in charge, and they will follow your orders."
"No problem," replied Ishima. He talked in a somewhat sarcastic tone, noting the seemingly smug attitude of the German commander.
Doing as they were asked, the group met up with a force of mobile suits and strategically positioned themselves around the Stratigen. Zack peeked up at the large rocket, which lay horizontally on its track.
"That is one large bastard. And they said the Schwarzgeist is in the nose cone? Why the hell then do they need this much rocket?"
"Dunno man, but for whatever purpose I don't care. Just as long as this thing is launched and gets to space it doesn't matter to me."
The group stood without movement, carefully watching and scanning the distant horizon for any sign of hostiles...
Approximately twelve miles away. Order of the Osiris and Aragon Army joint command post.
"Sir, we picked up a transmission a moment ago-coming from the central part of the Berlin area. It can only be an NA transmission, because of those stupid ex-Empire bastards' joining of the organization. What should we do?"
A voice replied from the other end of the intercom: "Move our frontline forces in for the attack. Ready the Ausf D Durer, and deploy it to the target area."
"Aye sir!"
The transmission ended, and the two men were left alone once again.
"Are you sure about this 'union' that we are attempting to create?"
"Absolutely, we both have a common enemy, so why shouldn't we join forces?"
"I suppose you are correct. Either way the NA must be defeated..."

"Is she ready?" Ain's voice was childish and impatient, just like little kids on Christmas Eve.
"Sorry, Petty Officer, I told you already that this is a huge project not just paper and glue. Please remain as patient as you can. Besides, you requested the modifications be completed by the end of today."
"Erm.... well, yeah, I did, but the battle might take place any moment, so I need the suit as soon as I can get my hands on it. What's the progress made so far?"
"Well, the bio-computer proved relatively easy to add into the cockpit. There was already an unoccupied hard point, so we unsealed it and adjusted all other settings to yours. Basically it fits you like a glove." He ticked off the stats like a machine, quickly and precicely.
"Thank you. What about the minovsky --" Ain was abruptly silenced by the tech.
"Yes, the Minovsky Drive thruster is done being constructed and modified for your Gundam. The armor is in the process of being taken off, and from there, the apogee motors will be put on at strategic points of your suit. We will work out the physics and max out the acceleration and speed. Basically, your suit should go quite fast after the modifications are finished."
"Alright. What about the heating problem?"
"Let's just say we've found a 'novel' approach to your problem. There will still be extra exhaust points, but not as many as the conventional suit. Basically, the heat will convect out through your armor, at small, harmless amounts. We've also installed a cooling unit inside your suit to prevent you from frying.
The armor convection will have certain properties to it, but the chemical properties of the alloy allow the heat to go 'through' it as it were. A better explaination would only confuse you."
He signaled to another tech behind Ain's back to add something else in place. The suit would be interesting to see when it was all done.
