A couple hours had passed since Gabriel spoke with the others inside of the galley; he was now comfortably in bed with Aimee next to him. He began to feel the effects of a headache, clearly caused in partial by the amount of sake he drank. He was quickly thankful that no one challenged him to that drinking game.
He could also feel the pain caused by his bruises that had not healed yet, as well as his other cuts and scrapes that he sustained at Alameda. Sleep deprivation was also beginning to take its toll, as he could feel his eyes hurting.
He brought Aimee close to him and cuddled her, as he finally drifted off into a deep and much needed and uninhibited sleep.
Hours passed into the late morning, and Gabriel awoke to the sound of contemporary jazz music playing over a stereo in the corner of the room. He remembered how life used to be before the war; peaceful, quiet, and undisturbed. He heard the sound of water running in the bathroom, and knew it was Aimee. He decided it best to not disturb her for now, for she was enduring a tough time since the aims of the war had changed. She had some feelings of unwantedness and helplessness in days past, but was reassured by Gabriel's steadfast confidence and care for her.
Gabriel stood to his feet, realizing he was still in his clothes from the day before, and decided to slip on a pair of sandals and take a walk around the city. He left a note on the night stand to let Aimee know of his whereabouts.
Moments later he was out and about, walking among crowds of people hustling and bustling during the morning rush hour. He peered at produce and other foods at nearby street markets, and began to wander in the direction of the large HALO building at the city's epicenter. He then remembered that he had some work to do concerning Archangel, and thought it best to go see Dr. Harrison about his needs.
Twenty minutes and he already reached the doctor's office, and saw him in a business suit, working on paperwork. He felt a little out of place, but didn't really care due to the fact that he hadn't a suit and tie anyway.
"Doctor?"
"Hey, Gabe! What's happening?"
"I thought that maybe we could take a trip to the docks to inspect the Archangel, and fulfill her upgrade needs."
"I'm free at the moment, why not?"
Harrison stood to his feet, and led the way out of the room.
On the way down into the research labs thoughts ran through his mind...
"Haulpschalter, you are going to pay. I will make my Archangel tenfold more powerful than your disgusting Machines, and will personally destroy your army and pay you a visit..."

(Silas)
Silas had regected the drinking game as well. He needed to be able to concentrate on typeing, and that was imposible if he were to be drunk.
He hacked into the cumnincations system again. Silas figured they would be looking for him but that didnt matter he would be out before they knew it, without any traces. This was too easy.
'It's not like they would notice anyway. I just go to have smaller, and shorter messages.' Silas thought.
He sent the signal back up. It was confirmed. But the return message was wierd: Not Now.
What did that mean? was she just busy or was now really not a good time?
Silas got a signal from another source close by. It was from an unknown source. Silas turned the volume up.
"Who is this! How did you get this signal code! Silas? is that you?"
"This is Silas. Its been a while Ezekiel."
"Silas! Your alive! Just as i thought."
"You mean just as you senced. Unless your newtype senses dulled out."
"Not at all. In fact ive improved. Mainly because the prototype Machine's abilities. I had plenty of practice."
"I figured your the pilot. Thats the only reason Enoch is still alive. Just make sure Haulpschalter doesnt figure that out."
"I think he has, but im not sure. Miharu helped out a lot. She thinks yur dead, Silas. Its been hard to convince her otherwise. But one thing i want to know is What your doing with the Nocturne Alliance!"
"A series of misfortunes. Dont worry, im still just a lunarian. I dont care what happens."
"Then join my side. Get out of there. You belong with us."
"Your side?! Haulpscalter is the leader! Your just the tool!"
"NO! This machine was meant to defeat the earthnoids and thats what ill do. Regardless of my higher in command. And if you want proof ill tell you. Enoch is no longer in his control."
"How?"
"Master wasnt that stupid. I got to go. Just remember. There is no future for those who still cling to the planet. Silas, return to where you were meant to be. Join us, even if you dislike war, your place is with us. Ezekiel out."
Silas shut the laptop and laid down against the wall. 'He is absolutely right. I need to get backl into space. Back home.'

The shinter assault team flew past the weathered mountain range and came across the Atlantis shuttle that was waiting for them on the makeshift runway. The runway was just a strip of land that was flat enough to take off from. Dangerous? Of course. It was just another hour in the assault team's jobs. Shrapnel littered the ground, and there were small potholes and dips in the realitively flat terrain. 'The booster attached to the shuttle would allow it quick and easy access to space, and with the Nocturne alliance being crippled at this moment, this should be an easy escape.' Shadow thought. "Holy crap, we're lifting off this ground? We're goners!" "Shut up, Ain, we'll be fine. Besides, its smooth enough to grant us a lift off." The shuttle opened its hull from the upper doors and Shadow landed his Blaugeese inside. The Zakus and the Swift wind followed. The Slades were entirely capable of making it through the atmosphere with their minovsky craft engines, so they did not need to be inside. "Ok, were commencing the launch as soon as all gear is checked and loaded. Waiting confirmation from the loading bay" the captain said. "This is head mechanic. All gear is loaded and all systems green. We're on standby and awaiting your countdown." "Roger. Commensing countdown." "10...9...8...7...6...5...4, main engines activated." The roar of the boosters was so loud they couldn't hear the rest of the countdown. But any idiot would have known that it was now time for zero. "Main ignitions go - We have liftoff." The acceleration down the runway was so rough Shadow hit his head hard on the back of the unpadded seats that were in the maintenance hangar. "Damn it!" "HA! Now who's worrying about the liftoff now? Huh?" Shadow looked at Ain's lips moving but couldn't quite make out what he said. The engines were speaking for him. All he knew is that Ain was jeering. Turning forward in his seat again, he gave Ain the finger and continued rubbing his head. The window showed the sky turn from blue to white, and then fade to black, as they reached into space. The advance fleet that they had departed from came into view. They were specks in a black sea. "Were'd the lights go?" All the light that Ain could see was coming from the sun, as well as the stars. "Dumass, were in space." "Yeah, I know, but the overheads?" "Do you want to get caught? The lights are off to prevent us from being discovered. God, I wonder about you Ain." The shuttle was silent until it reached the orbital fleet. The ships were already laid out in battle formation complete with Mobile Armors guarding the exterior. The group got no word from the pilot of the shuttle and they just flew straight into the center of the fleet. They approached a ship that Shadow had never seen before. Since it was in the center it must have been the capital ship. "This is gonna be an honor. We're gonna meet the leader himself." Shadow said to Ain, and the Zaku pilots. "Oh, and don’t forget Drake, see to it that he gets treated aboard the ship." "Yes sir!" the zaku pilots went to the back room to get Drake ready for departure. The shuttle docked right outside the MS hangar and the crew went aboard. Two men came up to Shadow and Ain. "Come with us" "O...K...you guys bringing us to the boss?" the two men started down the hallway. Shadow and Ain followed. They led them to a room at the end of a hall. "In here." Shadow and Ain went inside to a dark room. A light turned on near the back and a figure stood up. 'Is this him?' Shadow thought. After the door shut the lights came on. A woman stood behind the desk. It was covered with computers and monitors. "Sorry to disappoint you but Haulpschalter couldn't come and sent me in his stead. You can call me Miharu. I was assigned to cover the special forces in their ground assault missions. So I guess you'll be taking orders from me."

"Alright Ms. Miharu, answer some questions for me."
"Thats what i am here for. Lets start the debreifing shall we?"
"Sure. Alright, so where are we going next?"
Miharu ignores Ain and startes to read the plans. "Ok. the team was sent down with heat sheilds and the main attack location was the east hangar gate. the triple A fire was the only thing stopping you"
"That wasnt hard. It didnt count as an enemy", Shadow boasts, "The slade team busted in and everything went as planned
Ain stops shadow "HA! Are you kidding me Shadow? We nearly lost the battle. Caught in that little tunnel."
"That was when unexpected circumstances occured." miharu pointed out.
"Shit, if we didn't figure out about the nuke, we'd be goners." Ain said
Miharu looks at the videos as they were coming in. "The enemy forces didnt withstand yourr firepower and strategy, but there was one enemy who actually stood a chance."
"Who ...?" Ain's memory evaded him.
"That tank thing" Shadow clenched his fist
"Hm... good point. So, why does that matter now?"
"the data is in the process of being extracted from your gundams." Miharu tells them after the video ended "We will analyze what happened from there."
"Alright. So, when is that expected back?"
Shadow stepped forward "Look, that pilot was good, but he didnt stand a chance against the 3 of us. It was only because he had a big bomb that he took out Drake."
"Because of the pilot of that mobile amor, the attack failed to penetrate deep enough into the enemy base." Miharu looks up at them dissapointingly. "And your mobile suits were damaged badly."
"No kidding. Those techs better repair her." Ain remembered how he had used the swift wind's speed to get to safety. "Better for us we didn't have to go deep inside an enemy base."
"Listen, we did what we could against that lunatic walking bomb. And we got out in time. I know our mission was to create an opening for the Shinter forces and we fai.."
Miharu cuts him off "Actually it was a join effort, and the other team succeeded."
"What?! so Ain, that must have been the explosions on the other side we heard."
"We might've been nuked..." Ain couldnt get that out of his mind.
"So miharu, it wasnt just cover fire?" Shadow asked, expecting a lot more from his question than what said.
"The Kunstliches Herz were sent to penetrate on the other side. Those gigantic explosions was from the ZSSA; a heavy mobile suit that carries missiles."
"So. What happened to it?" Ain asked
"The KH team managed to penetrate into the main complex without losing more than 2 zakus."
"Are you serious?" Ain was shocked that someone did better than him.
"The base was well guarded, and a nazarene Gundam took out the remaining zakus. thats as far as we know. We lost contact with them and then the nuke hit. luckily we got your team out alive."
"So the mission was wasted." Shadow sighed
"I think they got killed." Ain was somewhat releived. so they werent better than him afterall. "But no. the mission wasn't...look at Alameda, or what's left of it." Ain smiles.
"And because of this attack we know of the Nocturn Alliances defensive capabilities."
"Which are...?"

"We have confirmed that the forces have not comitted suicide and have retreated to another location. Both gundams that we know of are most likely still functional. Plus that peice that you brought back shadow was a wing fin of a MKIII, so they must some of those as well. 'That last shipment gave them Zeta plus's as well' Miharu thought about telling them that but decided against it.
"Are they in space?" Ain asked
"The orbital fleet is keeping a very good eye on the situation. nothing but you rose above the cloud cover. but underneath the clouds there is a lot of fallout, some of it still from the fallen colony, its impossible to determine where they have gone."
"Hmmm. I'm betting they're gone. We aren't going to find them unless they want to be found."
"there are ways, but leave that to the analysts. We will call you when we have another misison ready. But ill warn you now. Although i dont really like ot se others die, Haulpschater wont be so forgiving. There wont be a purpose for you if you keep screwing up."
"Alright sounds like fun. the mission or our life." Ain gives a grim smile. "And hey, besides, I got the NA senate for Shinter! I don't deserve to die. This is my first screwed up mission. Same for shadow."
"Listen, lets try to be on the same page here. Im here to make sure that the mission succeeds, and i wont send you on one that is impossible to complete."
"Alright, but it's not entirely my or shadow's fault! How are two people, with mediocre Gundams supposed to complete a mission?! We had to get out of there! Drake was dying, and a nuke was on the way. We did what we could with what we had."
"The senate wont really mean much, now that the war has started. But they are very important people. Ill be sure to remind him of that."
Shadow turned around. "listen, how much more of this do we have to put up. We know it was out of our control. Im leaving." Shadow leaves the room. the automatic door shuts behind him.
"Wait, you idiot!" Ain had no intention of staying any longer than he needed to either. Shadow didnt respond.
..."Look, Miharu, you may be our superior, but we risked a lot down there. Against that crazy bomb guy! And what the hell do we recieve? News that we'll die if we don't complete our next mission. Thank you." Ain gets up to leave.
"You dont get it do you...this is war."
Ain looks at Miharu
"What don't I get?"
"That i am in the same boat as you guys."
"Are you? "Did you go down there? No you look at numbers! And stats!"
"The numbers represent every man killed in action."
"In the heat of it, you cant look at numbers! You gotta pull your triggers and rely on the newtype senses."
"For you they arejust numerals. but for me its everyone that i know and trust. Going off and never being seen again."
"No! I saw them die! UNDER MY COMMAND! What the hell do you think that feels like!? I had to tell some of them to guard the opening of the tunnel, knowing they would die. Trust me: You didnt know them."
Miharu puts her face in her hands
"Maybe not them. But i have know exactly how its like to lose someone right in front of you! ...Silas..."
"Sorry. We've both got it the same way. So anyway, while you look at those numbers, remember, every guy lost did it for the mission. A failed one. And if you want to claim that we have the same lot, get in a suit, and come with us next time Miharu. I'm leaving."
Shadow opens the door to see ain next to it and miharu crying. "wow, what did you say? you know what, i dont want to know. Im getting a drink"
She started crying to me about "We are in the same boat" Ain startes to talk, but Shadow walks away.
"Wait. I'm coming with you."

Shadow leaves down the hallway and heads for the crews lounge.
Ain follows, and Shadow slows down to let ain catch up.
"Yeah, its not fair that we die if we fail next time." Ain walks at shadows left.
"She doesnt know anything."
"I know! Drake took that blast for us... what does he get? A ticket to a grave if he can't survive next time."
Shadow puts some change into a machine and a cup came out. Shadow lookes down at his coffee he just bought and watches the froth swirl around. "I dont think there will be a next time for him. He wont be coming."
"It's probable."
"This next mission wont take long to plan out."
"What'll it be?"
"Well, what we know is that we dont know where they are. But miharu said that they know they are alive, but how?"
"You know that stuff. Classified."
"So what we or someone else would have to do first is recon the area at low altitude."
"There's nothing to recon. It's trashed."
"Or a recovery team to survey the damage by that nuke. In either case it will take some time."
"Yeah the nuke destroyed the evidence. And what do you think they'll find there? A rock? a busted wall?"
Shadow stayed on track. "If they escaped it had to be underground."
"Probably."
"But where?"
"The same question for me."
Shadow gets up. "Ok, you know what, im tired of listening to miharu, what do you say we do things on our own?"
"Hmmm?"
"We'll go down there once the gundams are fixed."
"Damn straight! Miharu doesn't know what soldiers go through. She only look at the video feed from our suits."
"Take a look at this." Shadow pulls out a satelite map. Ain takes a look at it.
"I bought it off of one of the crew members."
"Alright, so what does it say?"
"We cant tell where they are, but it gives us a map of the cities in the area."
"Hehh. these guys dont make enough."
"Ok, they could have left in any direction."
"So, what're we supposed to be looking for on this thing? The base?"
"If they run away to another base, then all we have to do is kick its ass again. And in their weak state that wont be a good idea. They need to stay out of sight and fix themselves up. So they would probably go to an underground base. But even those are still noticable. Heat readings, smoke, minovsky particles, there are plenty of ways to trace them, but none of these bases look like they just got a big shipment of supplies from alameda."
The two sat their looking at the map. Ain was getting annoyed.
"This isnt helping anything. Im checking on my gundam."
Ain left for the hangar.
The hangar was huge. The capital ship was the largest of its class. IT stretched out for hundreds of meters, adn then turned a corner. This was just one of several hangars, and only on this side of the ship. The swift wind was standing next to blaugeese and the zakus. But another suit was being moved over to the others. It was an Astray type gundam. It was painted an unusual gold, and had black armor attached to its frames.
"What the hell?"
"The gold frame Amatu." Miharu was standing behind Ain. "Nice peice of work isnt it."
"I never thought you would be here. Dont you have thigns to do."
"I am the commander of your unit. Remember that."
"But that doesnt answer my question."
"Well, i was thinking. You were right. I dont know how its like. But the leat that i can do is help wherever i can. This gundam was meant for someone else a long time ago, but he wont be needing it, so i want you to have it."
"What!"
"Otherwise i wont be satified with just sitting in my office waiting...waiting for others to die."
"Where ddid you get this?"
"This was made at the same time as the others, but they were all dispersed quickly, since the war started up. The blue frame and red frame were bought out and shipped to different locations from Sweetwater. All we know about them is that Red frame was used down on earth several times by the Kunstliches Herz."
"Ill take it!"
"What about your old suit?"
"I guess Ill have to give Swift wind to Drake."
'but why would a petty officor 2nd class get such an impressive suit? Why me?'

Zack was in the docking bay at helene, fine tuning his gundamand listening on his radio for any assingments . He sighed a deep sigh as he waited . the fighting had now come to the worst part ,the wait.
"officer Tarisamato take the night off you havent slept sinse you got here" said an officer.
"thanks"he said sleepily.
He started to wander the barraks aimlessly he found a window and gazed out at the stars he had been amazed with the stars since he was little. After a while he went back to his gundam and waited over the radio. After a few minutes he drifted into an uneasy sleep. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Hey well excuse me if i'm not a god d@nm human computer. OOC: "asleep." is not a sentance.
------------------------------------------------------------------------ IC:
Ishima was at the point of wanting to rip his heart out. He had screamed his heart out already, without any true hope of it helping. He could not stand any more of waiting. No replies at all to his transsmision. He half wished the enemy had come for him. Fighting a hopeless battle was what he considered fun.
As a boy he was alway rough housing with older, bigger, and stronger kids. He did not always win, in fact he almost lost everyone of them. But he had had fun. That was what was important.
The only way he kept himself alive was saying to himself "I will hear from them an extremeley well plan to get me out in a minute." Or "They didn't waste time with a transmission, I will see them coming over the horroizon any second." These helped him until he drifted off into a deep dreamless sleep.

Ain's mind kept racing around in circles, all of which led back to the same question. 'Why a Petty Officer 2nd Class?'
"Well, whatever the occasion, I'll take her," he said to himself. Taking a quick glance around, he noticed that miharu and shadow were chatting away about something concerning their analyzed battle stats from the assalt on Alameda.
Making his way over to the Amatu, he glided, took a step, and kept gliding. The hangars lacked the false gravity, so getting across the massive thing was light work.
Within a few feet of the suit, he realized just how huge the thing was. Ain pounced up in the air to get the to cockpit, and grabbed on the hatch-bar. He keyed in a quick standard passcode to get him inside, then once in the cockpit, he reprogrammed the password, encrypted it, then encrypted it again.
"Wow. She's comfortable."
The seat had reclining action, but the view screens swiveled to compensate for the pilot's changed orientation. Perfect for those long missions.
"About time I called Shadow to do this recon thing, right? He's the type of guy who likes to do things quickly."
Keying on his com channel to Shadow's cell phone frequency, he gave him a call.
"Hello? Ain? Where are you? I'm stuck with Miharu talking my ear off." A few agitated shouts were heard in the background coming from Miharu.
"Inside this fresh Amatu. She's brand new. Did you want to go do the recon thing?"
"Er... my suit needs maintenance. The battle really took a number on her. You forget because you have Miharu's little christmas present."
"Oh, yeah. How long do you think it'll take?"
"You really are an idiot. A few days."
"Shit. I was hoping I could chill and play some video games to wait it out but days is too long trying to beat this game. I'll be down in a few. Out."
Discouraging news as it was, Ain stayed in the comfy cockpit for the next 5 and a half hours trying to beat the ancient Dreamcast game Virtual On.

"We repaired all damages to the exterior armor using part of what we had left of our last shipment of healing gundanium from Anaheim, as well as reinforced the frame in some areas and rechecked electronics. We also repaired imperfections of the katana and replaced the old e-canisters in the Echo cannon with adapted higher capacity ones. And that problem with EMP? That has been remedied as well by experimenting with shielding and pulse reduction, so you wont really have to worry about being affected. In addition to all of this, the Riot has been upgraded and its energy holding capacity has been enlarged and maximized, giving you much more punch when you fire."
"Anything else you added?"
"We installed a new 75mm CIWS battery in her head, giving you more leverage on the backup weapons side. The mechanics have just started installing the newly fabricated bits you wanted, and technicians are uploading the necessary hardware and system software as we speak. The HALO System has been updated to our newest version."
Gabriel nodded in agreement, being very happy with the fact that his mech was getting a very grand overhaul.
"I was wondering, would it be possible to add a tweaked Flash cannon to my arsenal?"
The supervisor thought for a moment.
"Yes, its possible. But we need some time to obtain one from the armory and experiment with it."
"That's fine, take all the time you need. As for the suits of my colleagues, make sure you cater to whatever their needs may be."
"Yes, Mr. Fox."
Gabriel walked across the room to meet with the supervisor of repairing and upgrading the suits of the rest of the Midnight Faction. The same man was in charge of cataloguing the new Zeta Pluses and outfitting them with the best hardware HALO Industries had to offer. Harrison followed close behind.
"What do we have going for the troops?"
"We are working on completing the upgrades and repairs that you outlined in your project outline, and much more. The Mk. IIs and IIIs are all being totally overhauled. Electronics and sensor systems in each suit are being repaired and upgraded, as well as internal mechanics and armor. Our new HALO Quasi-Psychommu System will be replacing the standard cockpit for Natural pilots while technicians install new HALO Psychommu Systems for Newtypes. The Naturals will also be receiving INCOMs for use with their suits as Newtypes are given bit systems. As far as the Zeta Pluses go, they will be used by team leaders and higher ranking soldiers, correct?"
"Yes, by my lieutenants and senior staff."
"They will get the type that best suits their combat expertise, either atmospheric or ground. And depending on their abilities, Newtypes will be given HALO Systems while Naturals receive quasi-psychommu to use. They will also get their choice of high-powered weapons to use."
"And what about our mobile armor force, and the remnants of our ship fleet?"
"After the battle for Alameda a majority of the remaining mobile armors that were sent here were either too heavily damaged or deemed unusable, so we are going to replace them with new heavy support Mk. V Gundams that we have been remodeling and refitting for a while now. And as for the remaining mobile armors that could be salvaged, they will be updated and redesignated, as well as given new and improved weaponry. Concerning the ships, you'll have to speak to Jones in the fleet docks about them to get the full scoop."
"And how long do you estimate it will take to complete all of this?"
"Hmm...let me see...today is Thursday, correct? Considering the manpower we have working on this assignment, we should be finished by early Sunday morning."
"Alright. Keep me updated."
"Absolutely, Commander."
Gabriel, followed by Harrison, left the room. The two walked on back to the doc's office, where they talked for a few more minutes about the current situation concerning the war. After this was done they parted, and Gabriel headed on to the troop barracks. Some items needed to be addressed with his staff.
Walking along the sidewalk next to the Officers' Club he met up with Hector, who, even though was still exhausted from the Alameda battle, found enough strength and energy to hang out.
"Alright Hector, give me some information about our status as of now."
"Well surprisingly our losses were only somewhat over minimal. I don't have an exact count for you right now, but I should by the end of the day. They did give us a pounding though."
Gabriel leaned against a nearby lightpole and stared into the distance as the troops did their daily PT routine. It was unusual for them to do it so late in the day, but after a look at the amount of sleep deficiency they were experiencing, one could understand why none of them would have gotten up any earlier to work out.
"Any news from the rest of NA?"
"I've only been able to sneak in a couple short radio transmissions due to the riskiness involved with a long conversation, but so far the other bases and cities have prepared themselves and are doing exactly what we are. Resting and mobilizing. One of the Innovators told me that they are actively communicating with other HALO facilities via primitive underground telecommunication. The project outline you wrote up has been circulated to other division leaders, who are doing the same upgrades to their forces. Oh, and I almost forgot, but the newest class of MF trainees has graduated from the Academy, and arrived here this morning to receive their orders. We're getting reinforcements as we speak, man."
"And all of them still green, with no major operations under their belt. Damn it, I guess we'll just have to deal with it."
Gabriel paused to check his still hurting bruises and cuts, pleased to know that they were slowly but surely healing themselves.
"And what about our fleet? I don't feel like traveling all the way to the docks to find out."
"The latest is that we have the Lorelei, the Acheron, the Komatsu, the Vigilant, the Liberator, the Avalon, and the Oceanus. All of them are being loaded out with more weapons and sensor systems. So far that is all I know, so if you want more specific details you'll have to make your way down there and find out."
"Thanks, Hector. I'm gonna go crash for a bit, then do some training in the gym. If you wanna join me, bring a cooler filled with drinks and get there by 1930. Also bring both your katana and wood bokken. Sound good?"
Hector grinned. "Hell yeah, I'll be there. Just don't be mad when I whoop your ass."
Gabe chuckled. "You beat me? Hah, I'd like to see you try."
They both laughed and parted ways. Gabriel walked on to find the closest path back to his room. Ten minutes later and he reached his destination, to find a drunken homeless hippie milling around near the doorway.
"The hell? Nah-uh, old man, are you loco? Why don't you go back to sleeping in that cardboard box next to the discoteque you came from, eh?"
"You should see the colors, man! Psychadelic colors everywhere, man!"
Gabe's expression quickly turned from frustration to disgust, as he swiftly tossed the hippie over the rail and into the bushes below.
"So cruel man, ow!"
Gabe sneered, "And don't you come back, you dirty drunk bastard." He opened the door and walked inside.
Aimee stood near the window, clearly annoyed and perturbed.
"Did you see that guy, Gabe? I gave him five bucks cause I felt sorry for him but then he followed me home. He was muttering all this perverted crap about my ass when I arrived, so I tossed him in the bushes."
Gabriel chuckled. "Well he didn't learn his lesson, cause I just did the same thing."
He walked over and embraced Aimee, giving her a passionate kiss and then moved over to the bed.
"I wish I had more energy right now to do something, but I am just worn out babe. How about we rest up a little bit, then we'll meet Hector at the gym and hang out with him for a while. That sound okay?"
Aimee, in her lover's tight embrace looked into his eyes and frowned.
"I promise I'll make it up to you. Tomorrow night we will have the most romantic night on the town that you could imagine."
Aimee's expression soon turned happy, as she pulled the covers over herself and Gabe, and laid her head upon his chest.#nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

Leo's awakening wasn't as peacefull at the other soilders of the NA. He awoke to the sounds of screaming coming from right behind him. His eyes opened and he blinked slowly, he was in a hotel room in his pilot uniform. He was still in bed with a woman and....wait, a woman? He turned his head to see a woman in her late 30's screaming and trying to push his weight from the bed. He scrambled from the bed as fast as he could and stood shakily, before he could speak another girl who'd been sleeping in the bed he hadn't seen the night before stepped in front of him and sprayed mace in his eyes.
Leo cried out and stumbled backward, crashing into a table and breaking it. He stood with a yelp though as a number of sharp splinters were embedded into his backside from the fall. Again he tried to explain that he wasn't there to harm them when the older woman, obviously the mother of the girl who maced him, stepped up and smacked him in the side of the head with a larger peice of the table that had broken. Like a drunk, Leo scrambled on hands and knees for the door and managed to get out in time to hear something hit the wall next to the door, probably another peice of the table.
It was late afternoon when Leo made it to the room where Gabe was staying, he'd managed to find the time to have his injuries looked over and changed his clothing from his unifrom to a pair of black jeans with a white shirt tucked in to it, a pair of black boots and a brown leather jacket. It was a rather dated look but one he often enjoyed when he wasn't training as an Einhander pilot all those years ago.
When Gabe and Aimee opened the door, Leo stood against the railing where the hippie had been thrown over, and judging by the scent he was still down there. Leo at the time had a bandage wrapped around the side of his head, slightly red eyes and a noticable limp. When they gave him inquiring looks he simply muttered the same thing he said to the base personel when they questioned with an iritated scowl on his face.
"Don't ask......"
They let him in whilst smiling and chuckling to themselves and lent him the couch to sleep on since they were planing on staying the night then leaving in the morning. The only reason they had come to the door was because they had thought the drunken hippie had returned.

Ezekiel walked into the room that was adjacent to the hangar. He had loaded his prototype machine into it and was now trying to find Miharu. He decided to call her.
The cell phone was picked up on the other side with Miharu still finishing her drawn out sentence with whoever she was talking to.
"Hello" she obviously hadn't noticed that the different ringtone meant that the person calling was on her list.
Ezekiel first thought she was really busy with something, but she was always like this, so it didnt matter. "This is ezekiel, how are the recovered troops?"
"Ezekiel! where have you been!?" She yelled into the phone, scaring the mechanics near her, and making Shadow jump a few inches.
"Geez!" Ezekiel pulled his ear away from the phone, it had been set on noisy evironment mode and had the speaker cranked up an extra notch. "I told you i had something i had to do. And there may be another, depending on if i can sneak out without the brass knowing."
"Are you going down to Earth? With the recon team?"
"I figured the more the better. The FAZZ is fitteed allready and is about to go, and ill go soon after. My prototype Machine can be fitted with crappy recon thigns in no time, they can just attach it to the upper leg section and it wont be screwed up during reentry..."
"I dont care! Dont Go Ezekiel! Silas is allready down there, he's coming up."
"I know. I didnt tell him my plan but hes smart enough to know. Enough of this anyway, where are you?"
"In the portside loading dock, with the recovered team."
"Ill be there. The FAZZ wont launch until i do, unless the captain finds out."
"Allright, bye."

(Silas)
Silas closed his laptop and looked at his watch. IT was about 2:00. He hadnt slept at all since the Alameda base was first attacked. It had been more than a 48 hours. The blood loss was getting to him, but since war wasnt part of his daily lifestyle, the adrenaline was still kicking in. He couldnt sleep. Silas stood up and decided to go for a short walk through the cold night air.
There were a few people walking down the streets, including some who were jogging. But no soldiers. These last few days were hell for them and they were most likely sound asleep.
Although it was peacefull and quiet, it was far from clean. This was an underground city afterall, so whatever trash was made here stayed here. Garbage, car exhaust, and the smell of a tripped up and knocked out hobo filled the air as Silas walked by. This was a residential district. Silas didnt want to know how the Industrial place was like.
They were all the same. Machines, belt drives, the smell of oil, smoke, and fire. It didnt matter where you went it was all the same. That thought reminded Silas of Vaun Braun and he decided to change his course to the industrial district.
Silas started to think deeply as he walked. Ezekiel was safe, and so were the rest of his freinds at Anaheim. Including Miharu. Silas never had the chance to tell her how imporant she was to him, but at this rate he never could. Ezekiel invited him back up to Luna, but Silas couldnt see how he would accomplish that.
Equipment for Gundams and other Mobile suits spilled out of the factory in trucks and other heavy vehicles. The Nocturne Alliance was throwing a lot of cash into fixing the Midnight Faction. They were getting ready to fight again. This base would be only temporary.
Silas went back to his room and slept. He didnt know how long because when he woke up he was too drowsy to see straight and his watch was no longer a perfect circle, but more of an ellipse.
Silas saw an image of Enoch. Or rather the clone that he left for dead back at alameda. It was no longer strapped down, the latches holding him still were open. The image left his as soon as he noticed it was there. Silas was a Spacenoid for so many generations back that it didnt matter anymore, and he had slight newtype abilities like many others. He was no longer a natural, but the destinction was small and insignifigant to him. That image was most definitely not real, since the nuke destroyed everything there, but what did it mean?
Silas decided to sleep more, and a few hours later he woke up with a big headache. But that was nothing compared to the wound in his side from that large caliber bullet he got hit with back at alameda. He needed mor morphne, so he decided to go back to the base, but not without his laptop. Silas would do some snooping around first, especially since the base would be on a skeleton crew, now that everyone except a few were asleep.
